The large disposal bin will arrive this weekend and be here for one week.
If it gets full, it will be replaced with another. If you put items in the Garbage rooms over the past months, and they are still there, it is time for YOU to move them to the bin. Don’t wait for someone else to do your work!
There is a long list of things that should NOT go in the bin:
RESTRICTIONS
Please, do not put any of the following materials in the bin;
· Drywall
· Pesticides
· No ACM (Asbestos Containing Materials)
· No Hazardous Waste
· No Propane Tanks
· No Lead Acid Batteries
· Biomedical Waste, including sharps
· Food Waste
· Paint or any Liquid Wastes and Sludges
· Explosive Substances
· Chemicals or Other Materials which may create hazardous working conditions
· Inflammable Materials
· Materials hot enough to start combustion
· Automobile Bodies or Boat Hulls
· Waste Oil, Petroleum By-Products or Used Oil Filters
· Dead Animals and Animal Parts including bones, feathers, skin, hair, nails and teeth
· All Forms of Excrement
· Barrels, Drums, Pails and other large Liquid Containers, whether full or empty
· Insulation or Styrofoam
The following items are accepted for recycling but are subject to a material surcharge.
· Tires $15.00/each item
· Mattresses/boxsprings $35.00/each item
· Computers, TV s $5.00/each item
